When Carolina Heart and Vascular Center opened its new facility in Aiken, S.C., they needed a space that would be flexible enough to meet their ever-changing needs and improvements in technology. It also needed to be a comfortable, safe and efficient space that would appeal to their patents and staff.

The Challenge
Modern Business Systems supplied us with demountable walls; modular office furniture for staff; furniture for waiting rooms, physician and administration offices; cabinetry for exam rooms, nursing stations, and breakroom; and lead-lined walls for a CT scanning room. They even provided the interior signage. We are extremely pleased with the appearance of our office building, and found the Modern Business Systems team to be an outstanding company to work with.

The Solution
Modern Business Systems provided the solution, and the foundation of it lay not in the floors, but in the walls! LifeSpace Walls from Haworth were installed throughout the 14,000 foot facility, offering value, flexibility and style.
MBS complemented the job with comfortable seating and furniture throughout the waiting rooms, reception area and private offices. Cabinetry from Midmark was installed in each of the exam rooms and employee lounge.
Conventional construction would have taken 3-6 months, but the experts at Modern Business Systems were able to complete the building's interior in just 2 1/2 weeks. Plus, the client was able to depreciate their investment over 7 years, instead of 39 for conventional construction!
